Obituary for ALEX R LINDBLOM
Alex R. Lindblom, 75, of 2532 E. Twenty-eighth St., died Tuesday of a kidney ailment at Iowa Methodist Hospital after a three-month illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bethany Lutheran Church, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A Des Moines native, Mr. Lindblom was a retired self-employed cement contractor. He was a member of the Home Masonic Lodge, the Des Moines Consistory, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and Bethany Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Arthur of Clarinda; a sister, Mrs. Esther Benskin of Des Moines; and seven grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Bethany Lutheran Church or the Shriners Crippled Children''s Hospital.
Dahlstrom Funeral Home is in charge of service arrangements.
