Obituary for PAUL V KORDICK

Paul V. Kordick, 86, of 6702 McVay Drive died of cancer Tuesday at Adel Acres Care Center in Adel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow the service, and burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Kordick was born in Anita and had lived most of his life in Des Moines.  He was the retired owner of Kordick Plumbing and Heating, a Navy Veteran of World War II and member of St. Ambrose Cathedral, Kiwanis Club, Highland Park Businessmen Association, Knights of Columbus and Plumbers Association.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Lavia; two sons, Paul, Jr. and Joe, and a daughter, Janet Kordick, all of Des Moines; three sisters, Monica Lisek of Albion, PA., Genevieve Kordick of Des Moines and Kathleen Harms of Fredericksburg; and two grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to his church or Hospice of Central Iowa in Winterset.
