Obituary for LESLIE RUSSEL RAMSEYER

Services for Leslie Russel Ramseyer, 25, of 1501 E Madison Ave., who dies of cancer Sunday at Iowa Methodist Hospital after a seven-week illness, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cottage Grove Avenue United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Ramseyer, a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area, was born in Granger and graduated from Des Moines Technical High School. He was a Navy veteran and was a mechanical designer with Frye Manufacturing Co. He was a member of the Cottage Grove Avenue United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kay; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Russel Ramseyer of Des Moines; a sister, mrs. Joan Kerr of Nashville, TN; and a brother Rodger of Santa Anna, CA. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Polk County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. The body is at the Westover Funeral Home.
