Obituary for JAMES R GUNHUS
Services for James R. Gunhus, 64, of 2347 E Thirty-third St., who died of a liver ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Gunhus was born in Livermore. He lived in Madrid for 10 years and spent the rest of his life in Des Moines. He was a retired mail carrier and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Helen M.; a son, Michael of Parker, Colo.; a daughter, Sharon Lee Alicio of Denver, Colo.; four stepdaughters, Gloria Frost of Cedar Rapids, Jacqueline Bemisdarfer of Des Moines, Sharon Davis of Newton and Suzanne Grant of Kansas; a stepson, J.R. Brumley of Solon; and 10 grandchildren.
