Obituary for CLAIR E COCKING

Clair E. Cocking, 69, of 3130 Sheridan Ave. died of cancer Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Cocking was born in Ordway, CO, and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired sheet-metal worker and detailer with the Waldinger Corp., was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union and the Auburn Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; and a sister, Frances Allott of Des Moines. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or to Hospice of Central Iowa.>>
