Obituary for WALTER MADISON PONTIOUS
Services for Walter M Pontious, 67, of 1120 SE Cummins Rd, who died of a heart ailment Sunday at Broadlaws Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Pontious was born in Des Moines and spent most of his life here. He worked for Electrical Engineering and Equipment Co. and was a member of St. John''s Lutheran Church, and Veterans of Foreign Wars #738.
Survivors include his wife, Mable; two daughters, Dorene Mack of St. Louis, MO and Nada Pontious of Des Moines; seven sisters, Eleanor Pontious, Ruth Pontious, Elvira Dondlinger, Goldie Wood, Thelma Graybill, Juanita Mickle and Betty McAuley, all of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
