Obituary for THOMAS MICHAEL BRAFFORD
Mike Brafford, 64, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center fom complications with his lung surgery. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday March 29, 2005 at All Saints Catholic Church of which he was a member. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemtery.
Mike was born June 25, 1940. He was a graduate of Dowling High School. He worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. for 26 years and was a bus driver for Des Moines Public Schools for 15 years before retiring. He coached girls softball and basketball. He loved fishing and all kinds of sports and family get togethers, but most of all he loved his wife and family and was faithful to his church.
Mike is survived by his wife, Penny; daughters, Robbie (Jim) Van Arkel, Rhonda (Ray) Nagy, Rozzie (Dennis) Smith and Rammie (Larry) Goemaat; father, Clifford; brothers, Joe and John; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Randy and mother, Mary.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. with a vigil service 7 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens.
