Obituary for LESTER CHARLES KELLER
Services for Lester C. Keller, 81, of 2613 Capitol Ave., will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Simpson United Methodist Church, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Keller died Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital following complications of a peptic ulcer. He had been ill two years.
He was born in Moscow, IA, and had lived in Des Moines since 1941. Mr. Keller was a bridge foreman for the Rock Island Railroad until retiring in 1960. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Maintenance of Way Workers and Simpson United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a son, Richard of Des Moines; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Smith of Cumming, Mrs. Doris Wright of Stuart and Mrs. Evelyn Jennings of Des Moines; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Simpson United Methodist Church.
