Obituary for LLOYD EUGENE MILLER
Lloyd E. Miller, 74, of Runnells died of cancer Monday at Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born in Kansas City, MO, and had lived in Des Moines 69 years before moving to Runnells three years ago. He was a retired fireman with the Des Moines Fire Department, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; a daughter, Miriam Carlson of Bondurant; two sons, Merlin of Marco Island, FL; and Brian of Dallas Center; a brother, Loren of Johnston; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
