Obituary for THOMAS J DALEY
Thomas J. Daley, 60, of 3848 E 14th St. died of cancer Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be graveside at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Daley was a lifelong Des Moines resident. He retired earlier this year as a brick mason, was a Korean War veteran of the Marine Corps and had been a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Americna Legion and the Brick Layers Union.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise; five sons, Randy Westrum of Kirksville, MO, Mark Westrum of East Moline, IL, Calvin Daley of Valrico, FL and Christopher Westrum and Ace Daley, both of Des Moines; three daughters, Susan Westrum of Lexington, KY, Debbie Daley of Emuclan, WA, and Mary Oberender of Des Moines; his mother, Mildred Daley of Des Moines; three sisters, Patty Shepherd and Beulah Brown Waskow, both of Des Moines, and Mary Ann Clemons of Clear Lake; and 18 grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church.
