Obituary for JERALD EUGENE SHOCKEY
Services for Jerald Eugene Shockey, 45, of 3017 Forty-eighth Place, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Beaverdale Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Shockey, a meat cutter, died Tuesday at Veterans Hospital here of diabetes after a year''s illness. He was born in Jefferson and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a member of the Winterset Masonic Lodge and the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella M.; two sons, Larry C. of Harrisburg, Pa., and William E. of Denver, Colo.; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Stevens, Jefferson; three brothers, Edward and Donald, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Raymond, Deep Water, Mo.; and four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Hennesy and Mrs. Kethryn Hanover, Des Moines, Mrs. Mildred Stangl, Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. Irene Blair; Grinnell.
