Obituary for LAVOHN LILLIAN SCRIBNER
Lavohn L. Scribner, 70, of 1806 45th St. died of cancer Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church chapel. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The body has been cremated.
Mrs. Scribner was born in Estherville and lived in Des Moines 52 years. She was a homemaker and had been a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Daughters of the Nile. She was a past matron of Acanthus Order of the Easter Star Chapter No 530.
Survivors include her husband, Merle S.; two daughters, JoAnn Davis of West Des Moines and Jane Ellen Braswell of Norwalk; a brother, Donald A Bixby of West Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
