Ruth Jane Hefler (1922-2012)
Services for Ruth Jane Hefler, 89, formerly of Willoughby Hills, will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday before the service. A committal service and interment will be held Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, in the chapel at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
Mrs. Hefler passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Grande Pointe Healthcare Community in Richmond Heights, where she had lived for the past eight years.
Born Aug. 21, 1922, in Washtenaw County, Mich., she had lived in Willoughby Hills for more than 40 years.
She was an avid sports fan, and followed the Cleveland teams and NASCAR.
Mrs. Hefler was employed as a seamstress at the former Dalton Industries in Willoughby.
She is survived by her good friends and neighbors, the Siath family; and her friends and ""family"" at Grande Pointe Healthcare Community.
Her husband, John J. Hefler, passed away Sept. 2, 2001. Her parents, Donald and Annabell (Thornbury) Stockdale; and brother also are deceased.
