Obituary for RICHARD J TARNOSKI
Richard J. “Bud” Tarnoski, 91,of Reading, passed away during the afternoon hours of Tuesday January 19, 2021 in the Reading Hospital-Tower Health. Bud was predeceased by his wife, Dolores “Doe” M. Tarnoski on March 6, 2004. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Peter and Julia (Pieja) Tarnoski. He is survived by his children; Michael R. Tarnoski, of Reading, Peter R. husband of Dianne L. Tarnoski of Muhlenberg Twp. and Teresa M. (Tarnoski) wife of Marty Porubsky, of Orlando FL. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Lance M. and Trisha E. Tarnoski and Tiffany R. Richardson, and great-grandchildren; Jaxson P. and Gavin A. Tarnoski. Bud is also survived by his brothers, George J. and Robert J. Tarnoski and two nephews Chuck and Rob Tarnoski. He was predeceased by his brothers Edward J. and Frank J. Tarnoski. Bud was employed by the former Food Fair and Pantry Pride Stores as a grocery manager, and retired from the Schuylkill Valley School Dist. in 1992 where he was employed in the maintenance dept. Bud was a graduate of Reading Catholic High School, where he excelled in sports, his love of sports continued all his life, especially through his golfing with his family. Bud served his country from 1951-1953 in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict. He was a parishioner of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Bud had a special passion for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, he will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends may extend their sympathy and respects to the family on Monday January 25, 2021 from 9:00am to 10:00am at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church 151 N. 9th St. Reading PA 19601. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Humane Society of Berks County 1801 N. 11th St. Reading PA 19604 in memory of Mr. Richard J. “Bud” Tarnoski.
