Obituary for Donald Eugene Crenshaw
DONALD EUGENE CRENSHAW, 94, went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2023.
Donald Eugene Crenshaw was born on November 24, 1928 to Florence and Lona Crenshaw at home on a farm outside of Perkins, OK. His family eventually moved into Stillwater, OK where he attended school. Don was saved during a revival at the Nazarene Church in Stillwater. He was called to ministry and attended Bethany Peniel College. He especially felt a call to missions.
He met Lucy Ellen Reiff in 1950, at Bethany Peniel College, in Bethany, OK, and they married on August 3, 1951 in Garden City, KS. They pastored together over 29 years, in Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado. They also served as missionaries in Argentina for more than five years, and in the Dominican Republic for nine. Don and Lucy were members of the College Church of the Nazarene for many years after relocating to the Kansas City area.
During their years of ministry, they served in many capacities; including pastoring, teaching, administrative work, and sharing their gift of music with others.
He is survived by his children; Cheryl Dugas and husband, Michael, and Scott Crenshaw and wife, Donna. Grandchildren; Chad, Ashley, Nathan, Laura, Melissa, Jared, and Zach, and great-grandchildren, Esther, James, Henley, Colton, and Liam. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, loving wife, Lucy, son, Craig, daughter, Janell, and son-in-law, Kevin.
