Obituary for Ms. Shelly M. Burgert

Shelly Mae (Weiser) Burgert, 70, of Emmaus, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in St. Luke’s University Hospital, Bethlehem. Born in Allentown, Shelly was a daughter of Loretta M. (Brintzenhoff) Weiser, of Topton, and the late Robert A. Weiser.

Shelly was a 1970 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton. She was employed by Samuel Adams Brewery, Fogelsville, Brown Printing Company, East Greenville, Mack Trucks, Inc., Macungie, and most recently, FedEx Corp. Shelly enjoyed cherishing her family memories by scrapbooking, gardening, puzzles, relaxing, games on her phone, and yard sales. She was also an Elvis and Looney Tunes fan! Above all, Shelly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Along with her mother, Loretta, Shelly is survived by her three sons, Lance A. Burgert, and his wife, Fathom of Center Valley, Christopher S. Burgert and Charles L. Burgert, both of Emmaus; four grandchildren, LaRae A. Burgert, Lantz-Michael A. Burgert, Christopher L. Burgert and Acelynn R. Burgert. She is also survived by her siblings, Ivy M. (Weiser) Solt, and her husband, Kerry, Alburtis, Gary L. Weiser, and his wife, Robin, Whitefield, NH, and Barbie A. (Weiser) Brensinger, Mertztown; and was predeceased by her sister, Jan L. Weiser.

Services for Shelly will be held privately.
