Obituary for Anna Mae Taylor

Lafayette – Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Anna Mae “Baby” Lyons Taylor, 85, who died October 29, 2022, at her residence.

Services will be conducted by Fr. Augustine Wall, SVD.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Aaron Taylor, Jr.; two sons, Carl Taylor, Sr. (Andrea) and Gregory Taylor (Carrie); her daughter and caregiver who was always by her side to comfort her, Sonya Taylor; sister, Jeanette Lyons Steptoe of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Roderick Aaron, Carl Taylor, Jr., Tara Taylor, Brittany Lee, Jarred Paige, and Josette Taylor; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Taylor; grandson, Aaron “Acey” Taylor, III parents, Willie Lyons and Leona Godfrey Lyons; sister, Dolores Narcisse; and brother, Nelson Lyons.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.  A rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m.
