Obituary for Chester Harold Hutcheson

On August 8, 2022, C. Harold Hutcheson, age 92, of Pittsburgh and formerly of Olathe, KS passed away quietly. Harold is survived by nephews Bruce Hutcheson, Brad Hutcheson, Ted Duncan III, Kevin Hutcheson, Col. Bryan Hutcheson and niece Jennifer Dutton. Preceded in death by his parents, Chester T. and Ada M.
Hutcheson; sisters Martha L. Hutcheson and Anna Hutcheson Duncan and brother Norman William Hutcheson. Harold received his BA at Geneva College and, in 1962, his Masters at Harvard University. He was an Army veteran and was stationed in Germany for 9 months during the Korean War. He was a missionary teacher for three years in Syria. He was an U.S. Government employee for 32 years in the Washington, D.C. area, with extensive overseas assignments during that time.
Harold was a deacon of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Shawnee, KS for eleven years. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 16 th at 7:00
pm at the Reformed Presbyterian Home, 2244 Perrysville Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15214. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Harold’s name to the Reformed Presbyterian Home. 
A graveside memorial service and burial is to be held in the Olathe Memorial Cemetery, Olathe, KS, at a later date.
