Obituary for Mrs. Doris R. Gilbert

Doris R. (Shultz) Gilbert, 95, passed away November 23, 2021, at SpiriTrust Lutheran on Sprenkle Drive in York. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur Gilbert. A public graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 10:30AM at Prospect Hill Cemetery with Reverend Doctor Ron Oelrich officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. in York is assisting with arrangements.

Born July 21, 1926, in York, Mrs. Gilbert was a daughter of the late Harry S. and Mary M. (Zimmer) Shultz. Mrs. Gilbert worked at Dentsply International as an administrative assistant for many years until she retired. Mrs. Gilbert was a long-time member of Faith United Church of Christ, as well as a lifetime member of the West York Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mrs. Gilbert is survived by a son, Timothy Gilbert; two grandchildren, Ann Engles, and John Ausherman; and a brother, Harry S. Shultz. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gilbert is preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Gilbert.
