Obituary for Harry D. Merkins Sr.

Harry D. Merkins Sr., 83 a lifetime resident of Clifton Heights passed away on November 11, 2021.

Harry was born in Drexel Hill to the late Given and Lucy (Newsome) Merkins. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Harry worked for 40 years as a Diesel Mechanic until his retirement. He had a passion for cars and going to car shows. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

Predeceased by his wife, Joanne (Halfpenny) Merkins; children, Harry Merkins and Kevin Merkins; brother, Given Merkins.

Survived by his children, Cynthia (David) DiPhillipo and Brian(Josh Simpson) Merkins; grandchildren, Dylan (Katelyn Williams) DiPhillipo and Dalton DiPhillipo; great granddaughter, Alana; brother Lewis Merkins.

Visitation: Tuesday, November 16th 7:00 -9:00 pm and Wednesday, November 17th 10:00 am at Williams Lombardo Funeral Home 33 W. Baltimore Avenue Clifton Heights.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, November 17th 11:00 am at Williams Lombardo Funeral Home

Interment: Arlington Cemetery
