Obituary for Mr. Glen P. Dunkelberger

Glen P. Dunkelberger, 62, of Exeter Township, died Thursday, July 22, 2021, in the Emergency Department of Tower Health Reading Hospital, West Reading.  Glen was the husband of Debra F. (Ream) Dunkelberger, who he married, April 30, 2012.  Born in West Reading, Glen was a son of Katie M. (Spease) Dunkelberger, a resident of Country Meadows, Wyomissing, and the late Raymond S. Dunkelberger.

 

Glen attended the former New Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Fleetwood. He was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1977.

 

Glen was employed as a powder coating specialist first for Dow Chemical, then Morton Powder Coating, and finally Rohm & Haas, Reading.  Glen retired from Tiger Drylac, Chicago, Ill.

 

Glen enjoyed golfing and bowling.  He loved sports, especially attending Reading Phillies games, and watching his Rams.  Glen enjoyed nature photography.  Glen and Debi loved to travel and take cruise vacations.

 

In addition to his wife of 9 years, Debra, and his mother, Glen is survived by a stepdaughter, Cybill I. (Bensinger) Reppert, companion of Craig A. Johnson, Pennsburg; stepson, Matthew D. Bensinger, fiance of Lisa A. Miller, Fleetwood.  Other survivors include, two grandsons:  Trent C. Reppert and Joshua J. Miller.

 

A funeral service to celebrate Glen's life will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Corrine R. Dautrich, officiating.  Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home immediately prior to the service.
