Obituary for Robert M. Gorman

Robert M. Gorman was born February 23, 1932 in Philadelphia to Scottish parents.  He is survived by his wife Ingrid (nee Illeborg); his twins, daughter Viveca Gorman (spouse Bob Helverson); grandson Lars; son Alex Gorman (spouse Noe Gorman); granddaughters Teagan and Katie; and nephews Todd and Craig Wallace and their families.

He graduated from Radnor High School and University of Pennsylvania's School of Fine Arts with a degree in Architecture.  He was in the army during the Korean war in Panama.  He worked for several large architectural firms in Philadelphia, his own firm, and the U.S. Dept. of Defense.

He loved fly fishing in Pennsylvania streams and supported clean-up of polluted streams.  Surf fishing at Cape May Point, NJ, was another passion.  Bob was an avid watercolor painter and took classes at the Main Line Arts Center.  He loved watching field hockey and lacrosse, his dog Barney and grand-dog Logan.  He was a fond member of the Franklin Inn Club in Philadelphia and very involved in Radnor alumni events.

He will be immensely missed by all of us.
