Obituary for Adelaida Alcazar Garcia

Adelaída Alcazar García born in El Atascadero, Michoacán, México. Adelaída was born to Candelaria Farías and Teodoro Alcazar, but was lovingly raised by Juan Vasquez. After living in Michoacán, she moved to Tijuana, then later to the United States where she finally settled in San Mateo, California.

Adelaída is survived by her four children: Leobardo, Jose Luís, Griselda, and Angelica, as well as her brother, Baltazar. She has joined two of her children, Alvaro and Gonzalo, in Heaven along with 5 of her siblings: José, Estanislao, Dimas, Zenaida, and Eloiza. Further, Adelaída is survived by her 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Despite no education, Adelaída accomplished many things in her life. She worked extremely hard to make sure her children were cared for. She always stood strong in the face of despair and never lost her faith in God. Adelaída loved to cook and made sure that anyone that came through her door was fed. She enjoyed going to the casinos and playing the slot machines. Her love for music and singing was strong and her favorites included Antonio Aguilar and Las Jilguerillas. You could find her singing along to them while drinking her cold Tecate con sal y limón.

Our beautiful Adelaída was called home on July 6, 2019 where she will be a guardian angel to her family and friends. She will forever be missed. Rest in peace Adelaída, for it is not a goodbye, but a see you later.
