Obituary for Nora Michelle Travis

Nora Michelle Travis, 7 months, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 3 in her parent’s arms after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Nora was born on July 22, 2018 in Overland Park, Kansas.

In her short 7 months on Earth her life was filled with love. She experienced lots of cuddles, holding hands, hugs and kisses, and being told “I love you” an uncountable amount of times from her family. She touched many lives and is loved deeply by family and friends. She will always remain her parents’ precious “Baby Nora,” and they will hold her again in heaven one day.

Nora is survived by her loving parents, Harry and Lindsay Travis, and her sister, Ellie Travis. She is also survived by her grandparents who cherished her, Don and Diane Deason of Overland Park; and Brian Janes and Gay Kahler of Olathe; as well as great-grandparents Fran Kahler, Deanna Deason, and Judy Janes. Aunts and Uncles, Brooke Ray, Russell Deason (Elizabeth), Travis Deason (Caitlin), and Steven Janes (Megan). And cousins, Kayla Ray, Cameron Ray, Cooper Deason, Parker Deason, Phoebe Pugh, Jaxon Deason, and Rory Deason. 

Nora was preceded in death by her great-grandpa Raymond Davis and her Aunt Laura Travis.

Nora is remembered by family and friends as a happy baby, who was always smiling, and has imprinted the hearts of everyone she met.

Visitation, Sunday, March 10, 2019, 5:00-7:00 pm at Indian Creek Community Church, Olathe, KS with funeral services to follow on Monday, March 11 at 10:00 am, also at the church. Burial, Olathe Memorial Cemetery.
