Obituary for Audrey A. Saunders

Obituary - Audrey A. (nee Abbott) Saunders, 88, of Drexel Hill, PA, died September 11, 2018. Born in Washington, D.C., she was raised in both Havertown and Annapolis and was graduate of Annapolis High School, class of '48. Wife of the late Donald, who died in 2011, her early married years were spent as a military spouse, moving to various stations. The Saunders took up permanent residence in the Drexel Hill area, where they raised their family. She moved to the Residence at Glen Riddle almost 10 years ago. Audrey, quiet and introspective, enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader of romance novels. She was predeceased by her parents, Aubrey and Mary Abbott, her brother Robert Abbott and sister, Mary Haupt.

Survivors: include her children, Nancy (Edward) Block, William Saunders and Lori Saunders, her sister, Virginia (William) Meintel, 3 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.

Service: Private Service will be 10:30, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, Drexel Hill,

Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
