Obituary for Paul R. Sr. Rodgers

Paul Raymond Rodgers, Sr. "Tall Paul", 78, of Akron, Ohio, affectionately known as "Tall Paul" to family and friends, went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2018 at Summa Hospice. Paul was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on March 12, 1939 to Homell Calhoun and Vera Mae Foster. Paul was a lifelong resident of Ohio. He was the oldest of all his siblings. Paul worked for Chrysler. After leaving Chysler he then found employment at Firestone. He retired from Firestone in June of 2004 after 30 years of service. Paul loved sports any and everyone that knew him knew that he was a "DIE HARD" Cleveland Browns fan. (Win or Lose). Paul also had mad love for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Indians. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Homell Calhoun and Vera Mae Rodgers (Talmer Lee Rodgers Sr); brothers, Franklin Leon Rodgers, Ronald Theon Rodgers; sisters, Faye Calhoun and Ramona Calhoun; son, Paul Hargrove. He is survived by his children, Janet Marie Rodgers, Cheryl Ann Milton (Marc Milton), Paul Raymond Rodgers Jr., Franklin Leon Rodgers; brothers and sisters, Barbara Jean Clark, Michael T. (Carolyn) Rodgers, Talmer Lee Rodgers Jr. Anthony W. Rodgers, Vera C. Rodgers, David L. Rodgers, Janet P. Rodgers and Terry D. Rodgers; His always loving aunt, Leola Johnson whom he loved dearly; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews other loving relatives and friends.
