Obituary for Emmit R Green
Emmit Richard Green was born in Akron, Ohio in 1936 to Sherman and Elizabeth Green.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He played baseball and had a love for fishing and photography. He was employed by AMHA and East Ohio Gas Company for many years. He taught maintenance and worked for the city as a crossing guard.
Emmit was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Green; parents, Sherman and Elizabeth Green; brothers, Frank, George and Herman; sisters, Margaret, Francis and Mary. Emmit is survived by sisters, Ethel and Evelyn; children, Gloria (Kenneth) Larry, David (Gretchen) Green, Deborah Green and Elizabeth Green; grandchildren, David, Emmit, Priscilla and Sean; great grandson, Emmit J. Green Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
