Obituary for Preston C. Kelker

Reverend Preston C. Kelker Reverend Preston C. Kelker went home to be in the Lord on September 27, 2017. He was born May 22, 1940 to Equilla and Regina Kelker. Lovingly known as Elder Kelker, he was known as "A Man of Faith" His love for people compelled him to pastor for many years. Elder Kelker was a Spiritual Father to many who depended on his wisdom and council. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rudolph, David and Roland Kelker all of Akron. He leaves to cherish his memory, devoted wife of 55 years, Helen Kelker; daughter Toya Kelker; granddaughter, Tiaria Charnett Kelker; great-granddaughter, Tatum Hall; sisters, Pastor Regina Gladman Emeritus of Akron, Apostle Grace M. Clayton of Sun City, California; brothers, Carl Kelker of Brownville NJ, Reverend Ernest Kelker and DeJuan Kelker both of Akron. Celebration of his life will take place at 12 noon, on Saturday October 7, 2017 at First Baptist Church 1670 Shatto St., Akron, OH 44313, Apostle William Epps Jr. Eulogizing. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Procession will form at 747 City View Ave., Akron, OH 44307 and condolences may be sent to 399 Noble Ave., Akron, Ohio 44320.
