Obituary for Ann Marie Escher

Ann Marie Escher, 61, of Lansdowne, PA, died September 19, 2017 at home. Born and raised in Delaware County, she had been a resident of Lansdowne for most of her life.

A graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School, class of '74, Ann Marie received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from Shippensburg University and Master's Degree in Education from St. Joseph's University. She loved new challenges. 

Early in her career she was a newspaper reporter working for the Philadelphia Inquirer and then later for a small newspaper in Oxford, Pa.  After her career in journalism she worked for Communications Test Design, Inc. located in West Chester.  After leaving CTDI she devoted her efforts to promoting Herbalife health products.   For several years she taught elementary school in Jacksonville Fl.   Most recently she started a business as a personal organizer.  She loved reading and writing and as a side line edited books prior to them being published.

A member of St. Philomena Church, Ann Marie had special devotion to the rosary and was a member of Flame of Love.  Her favorite pastimes included writing, reading, spending time with friends and at the beach. Yard sales and her pets were among some of her favorite activities.

Daughter of the late William J. and Anna Escher; Survivors: include her brothers, Stanley Escher, Stephen Escher and Eric Escher, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

 Service: Her Funeral Mass will be 11 AM Wed in the Church of St. Philomena, Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne, where Visitation begins at 10AM
