Obituary for Calvin McCullars

Calvin F. McCullars passed away on August 21, 2017. He was born on November 14, 1957 to Lonney Sr. and Mamie F. McCulllars in Akron, Ohio. He was a lifelong resident of Akron and attended Akron Public Schools. Calvin graduated from The University of Akron earning a dual BS in Accounting and Finance. He was employed by Akron Public Schools for many years and retired from the State of Ohio with over 30 years of service. He was an active member of the Black Accountants Association. Calvin is preceded in death by his mother, Mamie Frances (Roberts) McCullars. He leaves to celebrate his life father, Lonney McCullars Sr.; brothers, Lonnie Jr. and Reginald McCullars of Akron; sisters, Valerie McCullars of Akron and Amber Dent of Georgia; nieces, Quinita and Nicole McCullars of Akron; nephew, Johnathan Nigel Davis of Cincinnati; and a host of relatives and friends. Friends may call on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd., Akron, OH 44320. Service will immediately follow.
