Obituary for William E Bennett

William E. Bennett Sr., 89 of Mentor, formerly of Cleveland, passed away, Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at home. He was born October 28, 1927 in Sioux City, IA., to the late John and Carrie Bennett. William was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and retired after 20 years. He then went on to work for the U.S. Postal Service for another 27 years until he also retired from there. He was an Associate of the Sisters of Notre Dame, a Secular Franciscan and Member of the Families in Christ Jesus Prayer Community. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ana Bennett; daughters, Diana Bennett and Theresa (Eric) Morris; step-children, Elisabetta (Nick) Kosir, Suzanna (Henry) Hahn, Emil Hribsek, Robert (Sandy) Hribsek Costello and Barbara Hribsek Lough; grandchildren, Emily, Megan, Julia and Laura Morris; step-grandchildren, Nick Jr and Suzie Kosir and sister, Shirley Muecke, Preceding him in death is his first wife, Julia Bennett; sons, William E. Bennett Jr. and Bruce A. Bennett and sisters, Bonnie Lacey and Virginia Bates. A funeral mass will be held 10 am, Friday, June 16, 2017 at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd, Mentor, OH 44060. Please meet at church. The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Thursday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave, Mentor, Ohio 44060. Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland
