Obituary for Francine Dowdy
FRANCINE E. DOWDY NILES - Francine E. Dowdy, 65, passed away Monday evening, May 8, 2017, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. Francine was born on Oct. 3, 1951, in Mansfield, a daughter of the late Charles and Nadine (Dysinger) Burnette. She lived in the Mansfield area until 1972, when she married her husband Jake Dowdy on Oct. 21, 1972, and then moved to the Niles area. She was a member of North-Mar Church in Warren.
She was an avid reader and also loved to listen to audio books. She also loved to collect Precious Moments figurines. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Jake Dowdy of Niles; her children, Jim (Shawn) Dowdy of Austintown and Elizabeth Ann Dowdy of Niles; a grandson, Danny Dowdy; and her sisters, Charlene Holmes and Dianne Carroll, both of Mansfield.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Dana Lee Dowdy; and her two sisters, Jerilyn Ute and Connie Secrist. Funeral services for Francine will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the North-Mar Church, located at 3855 E. Market St. in Warren. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Park in Canfield.
