Obituary for Glenn Lee Oxley

Glenn Lee Oxley, 59, passed away January 14, 2017 at his Olathe home. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, 913-856-7111. Burial will follow at Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Thursday, before the service at the funeral home. Glenn was born April 16, 1957 in Olathe, KS to Alice Maxine (McDaniel) and Lee Forrest Oxley. Glenn married Vicki Lynn Kunkle on March 8, 1980 in Wellsville. He worked for the Public Works Department in the City of Mission, KS for the last six years. He previously worked for Holland Construction Co. He was a member of Life Missions Church in Olathe and Laborers Union #1290 in KCKS. Glenn enjoyed fishing at Olathe Lake, drinking coffee at Hwy 56 Restaurant, and watching trains. He was a loyal fan of Olathe North football and baseball. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lee Oxley and Maxine Wright and two infant brothers. Glenn is survived by his wife Vicki of the home; sons Jimmie Lee Oxley, Joshua Allen Oxley and wife Lisa, Jonathan Ray Oxley and wife Abbie, and Joseph Wayne Oxley and wife Christy, all of Olathe; grandsons Tanner, Tyler and Wyatt; siblings Cheryl Vogel, Roger Oxley, both of Hillsdale, KS, Beverly Smith of Winterset, IA, and Marlon Oxley of South Dakota.
