Obituary for Edmond L Johnson Sr.

Edmond "N8HJY" Lee Johnson Sr. Edmond Lee Johnson Sr. (a.k.a N8HJY) was born May 1, 1934 in Henderson, Tennessee. He was a U.S Army veteran stationed in France during the Korean War. He settled in Akron and worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber. After 34 years of service, he retired and moved to Deltona, Florida. On November 21, 2016 at the age of 82, he entered into his heavenly home. Preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Brenda Joyce Johnson; he will be remembered by his children, Chantal Jorda, Martine Sennegon (Elie), Linda Johnson of Bordeaux, France, Terri Lyn Ellis (Thomas), Deltona, Fla., Edmond Lee (Pete) Johnson Jr., Minneapolis, Minn., Napoleon "Stevens" Ingram Johnson, Atlanta, Ga., Christopher Johnson (Brandi) Jacksonville, Fla., Paul Johnson, Akron, Ohio; 14 Grandchildren; six Great-Grandchildren and a host of family and friends. The family wishes to thank his special daughter-in-law, Brandi McDade-Johnson, who cared for him in her home and made him as comfortable as possible until Edmond passed peacefully in his sleep. Ed was a self-educated licensed HAM Radio Operator who was considered an expert by HAM enthusiasts.
