Obituary for James Lallo

JAMES JOHN ''JIM'' LALLO AUSTINTOWN - James John “Jim” Lallo, 75, passed away following a declining period of health on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016. Born Aug. 17, 1941, in Youngstown, he was the son of Samuel and Nellie Lallo. Jim graduated from Fitch High School in 1959, and he served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1960 to 1966. He worked at Youngstown Lithographing. He was the owner of Minuteman Press for 16 years until retiring in 2007.

One of his passions was music and he played the accordion for 67 years. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sharon A. (Zinz); sons Gregory J. (Holly) of Brentwood, Tenn., Gary J. (Tricia) of Powell; daughter Jami A. (Nathan) Offerdahl of Austintown; and grandchildren Madeline, Nicholas, Anthony, Vivian, Mia, and Sam Lallo, Grace and Claire Offerdahl.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard and a grandson, Patrick. Friends will be received at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the memorial service, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, 962 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Youngstown, OH 44510.
