Obituary for Elmer Brooks

Elmer Brooks, age 75, of Willoughby, passed away November 22, 2016. He was born in Cleveland, on March 27, 1941 to the late Roy and Mary Brooks.

Elmer had a great love for trains. He proudly worked for Conrail as a Brakeman and Conductor for 30 years before retiring. If Elmer was not fishing, you could often times find him taking things apart to "fix" them. Most of all he was a great husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and brother who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Elmer is survived by his children Carl (Shirley), David (Nicole Eisen), Dale (Kris) and Dan (Jennifer), his grandchildren Joshua, Johnny, and Leila Brooks, Nicole and Travis Brooks, Joe Roe, Brandon Dillinger, Courtney Wahler, and Lindsey Roe, Johnathon, Jessica, and Nicholas Brooks, David Needs, and Trinity Storm, his sister Sheila (Pat) (nee Bisbee), and beloved nephews Joe (Diane) Felts, and Chuck (Diane) Hable.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine Brooks, his son Elmer Brooks, and his siblings Ed Felts, Sunny Bisbee, Skip Bisbee, Mary Brooks, Polly Bisbee, and Dee (nee Bisbee).

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. A funeral service will follow on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10 am also at the funeral home. Interment will occur at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
