Obituary for Beatrice Joseph

BEATRICE L. JOSEPH YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Beatrice L. Joseph, 76, who died early Tuesday morning at home, surrounded by her family. Beatrice was born May 28, 1940, in Youngstown, the daughter of Arthur K. and Margarget E. (Laska) Jordan. She was a 1959 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. Beatrice attended the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Beatrice was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. She also was often a caretaker for family and friends. She was a former Sunday school teacher and sang in the church choir for many years.
In her spare time, Beatrice loved to shop, cook and bake. “Bea” never met a stranger. She found most joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Beatrice is survived by her husband, Martin Joseph Sr., whom she married Aug. 8, 1959; her children, Tammy (Dan) Tayman of Austintown and Martin (Roxanne) Joseph Jr. of Austintown; three brothers, David (Denese) Jordan of Austintown, Timothy (Deborah) Jordan of Newton Falls and Mark (Sandy) Jordan of Niles; four grandchildren, Martin (fiancée Danielle Lybrook) Joseph, Christopher Joseph, Meghan Tayman, and Nathanael Tayman; and nieces and nephews Jessica Jordan and Jason Isenberg and Arthur Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Hope Center for the care and compassion given to Beatrice.
