Blanche Mae Veal nee McDonald-Harvey Then and Now Together AgainIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved, beautiful, dynamic and one-of-a-kind mother, Blanche Mae Veal/ nee McDonald-Harvey. She departed this life November 4, 2016 after a long illness. Born December 5, 1928 in Forest City, AK.Our mother dedicated her life to raising her children. She loved to cook, play bingo and attend her church. Mother was a member of Peoples Baptist Church for over forty years and was a mother of the church. She worked faithfully under the ministry of the late Reverend George W. Goodman and Pastor Derrick D. Willis.She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Lela Currathers; father, Granville McDonald; mother and stepfather, Willie Mae and Archie Stotts; her first husband, Clarence Harvey; second husband and love of her life, John F. Veal; aunt, Lue Agnes Traylor; uncles, Detroy and Overtis Currathers; brothers, Leodis McDonald and Willie T. Stotts; daughter, Lela Veal-Cannon; infant son, Joseph Harvey; great-great grandson, Larry Jones Jr; dear cousin, Maezella Tipton (sister).She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Sidney Harvey, Vince Veal; daughters, Sharon Toney, Deborah "Bo" (Phillip) Johnson, and Tracy Veal-Clark; grandchildren, Judy Pickett, Janelle Ferguson, Leslie Cannon Jr, Tiara Toney, and Keith Lawhorn Jr; great-grandchildren, Darnesha Picket, Josh Ferguson Jr, Jasmine Ferguson, Celeste Cannon, Tyson Davis II, Garland and Davian Toney, and Keith Lawhorn III; great-great grandchildren, Daylon Pickett and Jaylah Ferguson.
