Obituary for Beatrice Morgan
BEATRICE M. ''GUBBIE'' ONDER MORGAN AUSTINTOWN TOWNSHIP – Beatrice M. “Gubbie” Onder Morgan, 87, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, at Austinwoods Nursing Center. She was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Youngstown, to John B. and Susan (Sasfai) Onder. A graduate of Chaney High School, Mrs. Morgan worked at Truscon Steel in Youngstown and JC Penney in Riverside, Calif.
She joined Sears and Roebuck in 1963, and worked as a bookkeeper for its stores in Youngstown, New Castle, Pa., and Sharon, Pa. She advanced to payroll, keeping records by hand before learning on a calculator and a computer. She retired in 1991, after 28 years of service. She was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Austintown and belonged to Sears Retirees, Seed N Weed Garden Club and two 500 card clubs.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Louis C. Lengyel Jr.; and her second husband, William M. Morgan. She is survived by her stepson, Capt. Randy (Cheryle) Morgan of Spring Hill, Tenn.; her stepdaughter, Marti (Bob) Smith of Austintown; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. There will be no services. Donations can be made to Crossroads Hospice that provide services to Austinwoods. Arrangements were entrusted to the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel -
