Obituary for Luigi Caraccia

LUIGI CARACCIA BOARDMAN - Private services were held for Luigi Caraccia, 86, who passed away on Monday, Oct. 10, 2016. Luigi was born Jan. 9, 1930, in Pacentro, Italy, a son of the late Joseph and Amelia (Teraciano) Caraccia. He came to the United States in October of 1963, with his beloved wife and children.
He was a very skilled master tailor for various companies in Youngstown and was well-respected for his craftsmanship with many clients. He enjoyed painting, and had several pieces on exhibit at the Butler Art Institute. He loved music and played the guitar and clarinet beautifully. But most of all, he was a devoted family man who would do anything for those he loved

Luigi leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, the former Annunziata Lelli, whom he married Sept. 11, 1955; his children, Joseph (Mary Ann) Caraccia, Gabriella (Tom) Miokovic and Rossella Kalmer; his granddaughter, Tina Marie (Jason) Kemesky; two great-grandchildren, Rossella and Lila Kemesky; and a sister. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Joseph H. Kalmer. The family has entrusted the care of Luigi to the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home. Burial was at Green Haven Cemetery.
