Eunice Boone Knight
Eunice Boone Knight, 87, was called to rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior on Friday, September 16, 2016. She was born on November 30, 1928 to the late
Dennis and Leola Boone in Akron, Ohio. Eunice was a Christian and was active in church since she was a child. She was a healthcare professional by trade, and worked at St. Thomas Hospital for many years until illness forced her to retire. In her later years, she held the role of matriarch for her entire family.
Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her late ex-husband, Willie Knight Sr.; son, Noel Edward Knight; daughter, Karen Elizabeth Hatcher; brothers, Rufus, Dennis Jr., Walter and Herbert Boone; sisters, Mary Simmons and Isabelle Boone.
She leaves to mourn her passing brothers, James Aleem and Ralph Boone; sister, Ambrosia Jackson; her two remaining children, Eunice
Denise Herrin and Willie J. Knight II; ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and very dear friends.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 12 noon at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Robert J. Evans, officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1166 McKinley Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306
