Obituary for GERALD KENNETH LINT
Gerald Kenneth Lint, age 58, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016. Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016, with funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, September 23. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Jerry was born September 24, 1957 in Santa Ana, California to Fred and Marian Lint. He graduated from North High School in Des Moines in 1976. Jerry was a member of Carpenters’ Union Local #106 for over 20 years.
Jerry loved spending time with his grandchildren and was devoted to his family. He went to all his sons’ school functions and kept score for East High football games up until three weeks ago. He liked spending time hunting, but he also liked flowers and gardening. He was a handyman who could fix anything, he enjoyed tinkering in his garage, and he had a passion for Camaros.
Jerry is survived by his sons, Jeremy (Katrina) Lint, Chad (Amber) Lint, and Daniel Lint; grandchildren, Cameron, Madison, Abagail, and one on the way; siblings, Sherry Trogdon, Chris (Dave) Klapproth, Marla Trogdon, and Lisa (Jeff) Clark; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Big Ed Lint, Fred Lint, Tim Lint, and Sue Storm.
