Obituary for Frank D Greggo

FRANK D. GREGGO POLAND - An hour of calling will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Boardman, followed immediately by a memorial Mass at 10 a.m., for Frank D. Greggo, 86, who passed away peacefully on July 12, 2016. Frank was born Jan. 12, 1930, in Youngstown, a son of the late Frank P. and Alice (Pisalski) Greggo. He proudly served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was employed for 33 years at Republic Steel, where he worked in the shipping department. Frank enjoyed playing bridge and doing crossword puzzles in his free time. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who always enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Frank leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of almost 64 years, the former Alice Dempesis; his children, Alan (Diane) Greggo, Cindy Myers, and Lori (Chris) Terlesky; his grandchildren, Abby (Chad) Madaychik, Samuel Myers (fiancée Sara Mackey), Matt Myers, and Nicholas and Ginger Cocca; great-grandchildren Gwen, Brandon and Lucas; a brother, Marty (JoAnn) Greggo; and a niece, Susan Rappich. Other than his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Helen O’Garek; and son-in-law John Myers. The Greggo family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Hospice of the Valley and Hospice House for their care and compassion during Frank’s time of need. Frank’s family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, material contributions be made to Hospice House in his name.
