Obituary for Randolph Cross
Randolph “Randy” Cross, 67, passed away June 26, 2016 after a long illness surrounded by his devoted son and family. He was born April 24, 1949 to the late Percy and Carrie (Meriweather) Cross.
He accepted Christ at an early age. He graduated from Garfield High School and attended the University of Akron. Randy played football, ran track, was a sharp dresser and loved to dance. He retired from Chrysler in 2000. He was known as Dad, Granddad, and Uncle and was a true friend to many.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Meriweather. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted son, Randall Cross, son, Michael Cross; the love of his life grandson, Elijah Cross; stepsons, Derrick and Dwayne Martin; brothers, Larry (Ethel) Green, Perry (Karen) Cross, and Tony (Batshemer) Skipper; special cousin, Lavonne Meriweather; special friend/brother, Junior Stone; special friends, Gwen Meriweather, and Debra Douglas;+ and a host of other relatives and friends.
