Obituary for Nola F. Crouse

Nola Faye Crouse CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Nola Faye Crouse, age 101, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 13, 2016 in Madison, Ohio. Nola was surrounded by family. She was born January 1, 1915 in Killbuck, Ohio, to the late Clifford and Lily Hoops. Nola graduated from high school in Killbuck, Ohio, was a member of the Eastern Star, Millersburg, Ohio and enjoyed playing in numerous bridge clubs. She was a proud and loving mother, grandmother and great-great-grandmother, who will be greatly missed by many. Nola was preceded in death by husband, Leland Shrimplin and husband of 50 years, James G. Crouse; daughter, Jocelyn Tompkin; grandson, D.J. Preece; brother, Robert Hoops and sister, Ruth Davis. She is survived by daughter, Diana Bliss, Madison, OH; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family wishes to give special thanks to the wonderful and loving caregivers from Hospice of the Western Reserve. The family will receive friends at Clifford Shoemaker 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 on Saturday, June 18 from 11am-noon. A graveside service will immediately follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park 2613 Sackett Ave. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Rd. Mentor, OH 44060.
