Eleanor J. Stein
Eleanor J. Stein (nee Garlitz), 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2016, surrounded by family at Brookdale Senior Living.
She was born in Salisbury, Pa., on October 19, 1922, to Frank and Evelyn Garlitz. She was one of four children and was a 1940 graduate of Meyersdale High School in Meyersdale, Pa. She married Frank A. Stein on April 1, 1943, in Meyersdale, Pa. They moved to Akron, Ohio, where Frank worked for B&O Railroad, in 1963. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Garlitz; brother, Joe Garlitz; husband, Frank A. Stein; and son-in-law, Donald R. Feora; she is survived by her sister, Lois Matthews of Corriganville, Md.; brother, Donald (Audrey) Garlitz of Lebanon, Pa.; daughter, Linda Feora of Akron, Ohio; son, Frank A. (Nancy) Stein, II of Burton, Ohio; grandson, Anthony (Becky) Feora of Medina, Ohio, grandson, Donald (Kristin) Feora II of Silver Lake, Ohio; granddaugher, Samantha (Mike) VanDerbosch of Avon Lake, Ohio, grandson, Andrew Stein of Burton, Ohio; and six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Evan, Luke, Cody, Sadie, and Ian.
