Obituary for Mrs. Jeanine Balin
Dr. Jeanine Balin (nee Kowalska), a Holocaust Survivor, and the beloved wife of the late Dr. Marc Balin, passed away at age 87 on April 16, 2016, at Lake West Hospital. She was born in Warsaw, Poland, on June 7, 1928, and was a resident of Timberlake, Ohio. Jeanine was the devoted mother of Paulette (Dr. Eric Yasinow) Balin and Joyce (Mervyn) Fried; the adored grandmother of Melissa (Matthew Shupe) Yasinow, Denise Yasinow, Adam Yasinow, Scott (Dr. Sasha Ross) Yasinow, Harold (Yiskah) Fantl, Steven (Chelsea) Fantl and Jeffrey (Devra) Fantl; great grandmother of 8; and dear sister of the late Shlomo and Mietek.
