Obituary for Thomas W Joyce
New Springfield - Thomas W. Joyce, 50, died Friday, January 1, 2016 in St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Tom was born January 10, 1965 in Youngstown,
and was a 1983 graduate of Springfield Local High School.
He was an auto mechanic his entire life, and had been employed as an assistant sales manager for Auto Zone for many years. He was a member of Poland United Methodist Church and Twin-State Auto Racing. Tom enjoyed drag racing and more recently was very involved in his children''s go-kart and stock car races.
He leaves his wife, Kathleen Joyce, whom he married on June 21, 1997; two sons, Thomas Reed Joyce of New Springfield and Tanner John Joyce of New Springfield; step-son, Corey Vukovich of Boardman; his father and step-mother, Thomas J. and Deborah Sue Joyce of New Springfield; two sisters, Cheryl Joyce of Perrysburg and Cathy (David) Hanes of Struthers; his brother, Christopher Joyce of New Springfield; two nephews Tim (Cara) and Tyler Hanes; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Joyce.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11am at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St. Struthers. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-7pm and Wednesday from 10-10:45am at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family to help off set expenses.
