Obituary for Adelia Ann Williams

IN MEMORIAM.

Died December 20, 1905 at her home east of Boita, Kansas, Delia, wife of Joseph Williams, aged 76 years 7 months and 13 days. Delia Ann Johnson was born in Batvia, New York in 1829, where she spent her childhood. When twelve years of age she with her parents moved to Genoa, Ohio where she resided until her marriage in 1845 to Joseph Williams and lived until 1868 when they moved to Johnson county, Kansas, where she has lived ever since. Her husband died of .pneumonia in 1887. Ten children were born to this home, of whom five are still living, four sons, Charles Williams of Salina, Kans., Jasper, Edward, and Earl Williamsand Mrs Ed Tibbetts of Pocassett, Okla. There are fifteen grandchildren living. She united with the M. E. church In 1847 and has been a faithful and conscientious christian these many years. Her favorite hymn was "Nearer my God to Thee, " which was sung at her funeral. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Henderson of the M.E. church of Olathe. The remains were buried in the Olathe cemetry.
