Obituary for Robert Crane Layson

Robert Crane Layson, born November 24, 1889, son of Robert and Mary Layson at Osawatomie, Kans., died Sunday October 4, 1959 at the Veterans hospital at Wadsworth at the age of 69 years, 10 months, and 10 days.; Mr. Layson was a resident of Olathe sixty-five years. He was a retired painter. He served in the army in World War I and was a member of Earl Collier Post No. 153 American Legion in Olathe.; Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth George, Topeka, Kans. and Mrs. Catherine Goodman, Albuquerque, N. Mex.; three sons, Charles L. Layson and David E. Layson, both of Olathe, and Robert O. Layson, Osawatomie; a sister, Mrs. Frank Hubbell of Olathe and nine grandchildren.; Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, at the Frye Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John R. Lawler, paster of the First Christian Church church of Olathe officiating. Military graveside services were conducted by the Earl Collier Post of the American Legion.; Interment was in the Olathe cemetery.; Directed by W. L. Frye and Son Funeral Home of Olathe.;
